Scioto Downs will host Ohio Super Night on Saturday, Sept. 8, and fans will have a lot more than just great racing to excite them. The track is introducing a Pick 8 wager on all eight Ohio Sires Stakes championship races. These events feature the best colts and fillies, trotters and pacers, in the Buckeye State. They will be programmed as races five through 12.
"This wager will have a 25-cent minimum and we will be guaranteeing a $2,500 pool in conjunction with the U.S. Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering Program,” said Steve Carpenito, the track's Director of Pari-Mutuels.
Scioto's regular Pick 4 will be moved to encompass races nine through 12 and the track will guarantee a $5,000 pool in conjunction with the USTA.
"We'll also have Superfecta Wagering on all races that night,” added Carpenito. "This is a special program with the best night of racing in Ohio, and we wanted to offer our fans some special bets.” (Scioto)
