Sport'n Cami, one of two winners driven by Corey Callahan, won the opening night $14,500 filly and mare pace feature of Dover Downs 39th meet on Sunday. Owned and trained by Joe Skowyra, Sport'n Cami recorded her fifth win of the season to go with six seconds and a third in 16 career starts.

One of seven 3 year olds in a field of nine starters, Sport'n Cami was followed home by race favorite Second Chance (Tony Morgan) and She's Got Appeal (Mike Cole).

In the meet's first race of the season, Callahan had driven Bill and David Moffett and David Toomey's freshman gelding Coletown USA to a 1:56 first lifetime win in a $5,500 pace for young pacers.

Tim Tetrick, the sport's leading driver this year and the track defending champion, was at the controls for one of his two winning drives behind Cantwell Bridge Stable's Southwind Apache in the night's fastest event a 1:51.4 victory to win the $30,000 claiming pace. Walks On Water N (Morgan) was second ending a two-race win streak. Paisan Hall (George Dennis) finished third.

Les Givens never looked back piloting 10-1 shot Backdraft Hall to a 1:52.3 decision in a $25,000 claiming pace for Donna Messick, Brandon Givens and Nanticoke Racing. A 27-1 longshot, Little Rock Spur (Roger Plante) finished second in front of 26-1 Mr. Fit (Tim Curtin).

Max Power got up at the wire in 1:53.1 to win a $20,000 Delaware claiming pace. Jim Morand drove the winner for owner Bill Spence. Brookfieldpoketime (Roger Plante) and Shining Review (Jim King) were second and third, respectively.

Frank Riviello drove Greg Price's On His Way to a wire-to-wire 1:55 victory in an $11,300 Delaware pace. Shady Sensation (Callahan) was runner-up. Dealer Dan (Ross Wolfenden) took show money.

Morgan, the track's 2005-06 driving champion, opened up the meet driving three winners. (Dover Downs)
