A request by Sports Creek Raceway to delay its live racing meet scheduled to open Saturday, Aug. 12, one week until Aug. 19 has been approved by the Office of Michigan Racing Commissioner. The seven day, three race program delay had been supported by the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association (MHHA). A one-week extension to the meet in early 2007 will discussed following the Sept. 1 deadline for 2007 date applications.
