The Isle Pompano Park kicked-off off their Spring Fling Late-Closing Event Preview for trotters on Wednesday with trainer-owner Irwin Lubar sending out Streetwise Hall ($4) to win the $6,500 first division in 1:57.2 with Anthony Napolitano at the helm. Doc’s All Class (Bruce Ranger) finished second with Battleshipp (Dan Clements) finishing third.

It was the fourth win of the season in eight starts for the 7-year-old Conway Hall gelding.

Driver Bruce Ranger captured the $6,500 Spring Fling second division with Curly Whirly ($3.20) in 1:57.4 for trainer Peter Blood and owner Lewis Whitaker. Blue Ribbon Beauty (David Ingraham) finished second, with Striking Osborne and driver Dan Clements finishing third.

It was the first win of the year in four starts for the 8-year-old Full-time Job gelding.

Driver Chuck Connor Jr. and Brick ($15) made it a training double for Blood in the $15,000 claiming trot by wiring the field in 1:56.3 for a purse of $8,500, pushing his lifetime earnings over the $100,000 mark.

Blood co-owns the 7-year-old Conway Hall gelding with Gary Piontkowski, Rick Berks and Steve O’Toole. (Pompano Park)
