Main Stage and Pembroke Prayer won their respective $25,000 third-round legs of the Kentucky Sire Stakes for 2-year-old colt and gelding trotters on a cool Sunday night at The Red Mile. Main Stage notched his ninth win in 10 starts and fourth in a row while Pembroke Prayer lowered his lifetime mark by a second.

With trainer Kim Ireland in the sulky, Main Stage had no problems scoring a 2:01.2 victory over a late-closing Twin B Navigator (Dan Shetler) and Pray For Talent (Mike Lachance). The son of Like A Prayer went over the $58,000 in career earnings with the win for owner Lew Hayden of Pleasanton, Tex.

Tony Hall directed Pembroke Prayer to the 2:00.3 victory over Prayer I Am (Jeff Cullipher) and Onawing Andaprayer (Tom Sells). John Duer trains the son of Like A Prayer for owner William Varney of Bangor, Me. He now has two wins and two seconds in four starts and earnings of $33,700.

Trainer Ron Gurfein and driver Mike Lachance swept both $4,000 divisions of the Diamond Creek Farm Series for freshman colt and gelding trotters. Jimmy Shin, fresh off his win in the Horseman Stake at Indianapolis, won easily in 1:59.3 while Creditable Winner scored in 2:00.3.

Jimmy Shin, a $100,000 yearling purchase by Brittany Farms, Sampson Street Stables, Jerry Silva and David Scharf, is a son of Self Possessed. Creditable Winner, a son of Credit Winner, is owned by Brittany Farms, Sampson Street Stables, Mathias Meinzinger and Silva.
