Dick and Barbara Bailey, owners of the top Florida-bred trotting filly Baileysirishdream, have donated two breedings to her sire, Matchem Hanover, to benefit the Lester and Eunice Vance Scholarship Fund.
The breedings will be auctioned off as hip numbers #96A & #96B at the Florida Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association (FSBOA) Yearling and Mixed Sale on Sunday, Oct. 28. The sale will once again be held on the backstretch of Pompano Park and will start at noon.
The Vance Scholarship Fund is administered by the FSBOA and has distributed funds to horsemen and their families since 1993. Lester and Eunice Vance, longtime Pompano Park horsemen and FSBOA members, were both teachers and their memory and dedication lives on through the many deserving students who have benefited over the years. Barbara Bailey is also a teacher and she and her husband Dick are strong supporters of higher education.
Anyone needing more information about these breedings, or for sale catalogs and more information, please contact the FSBOA office at 954-972-5400, or email to jane.fsboa@att.net. (FSBOA)
