Stanley E. Banks, a longtime fixture among the driving colony on the Chicagoland racing circuit, died Monday, March 1, at his home in Dwight, Ill. after a long illness. He was 73.
Mr. Banks, who was always among the leading drivers at all Chicagoland harness tracks throughout the late 1970s until the early 1990s, retired with 3,513 lifetime victories and $17,167,654 in purse earnings.
