One case of Streptococcus Equine (Strangles) has been confirmed Wednesday in the stable area at Pompano Park Harness Track. Live harness racing will continue as scheduled at the facility. Track management, in working with animal health officials from the State of Florida and the United States Department of Agriculture, has quarantined special areas of the backstretch and is issuing bio-safety procedures to all trainers on the grounds. Anyone planning on shipping horses to the Pompano Park needs to contact the Stable Superintendents office.
