Pompano Park management announced Wednesday morning that animal health officials from the United States Department of Agriculture have removed the Streptococcus equi (Strangles) quarantine on the stable area at the track.
Track management and the horsemen and women in the backstretch were commended by the USDA health officials for complying with all the special bio-safety and quarantine procedures that helped prevent the disease from spreading to any of the other 450 horses stabled on the grounds. (Pompano Park)
