Striptease Hall breezes

In her pari-mutuel debut for the Mickey Burke barn, Striptease Hall breezed to a 1:55.3 victory in one of two $49,625 divisions of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for freshman pacing fillies Wednesday night at the Meadowlands. The 2-year-old daughter of Artiscape-St Anne Hall posted a 1 3/4-length victory for driver Brian Sears over Mr. Deli’s Filly and Yannick Gingras. Pick Up held her ground for third with David Miller driving.

Striptease Hall was a $22,000 yearling purchase and is owned by Silvia Burke of Fredericktown, Pa., George Leon of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Joann Koechlin of Bluffton, S.C.

In the second division Artcoctic, trained by George Teague and driven by Ron Pierce, took over before the half and went on to score a one-length victory over Me And My Babby and John Campbell in 1:55.4. Kisskissbangbang and David Miller were third.

Teague Inc. leases the Artiscape filly who scored her second triumph in as many starts this year.

Three $35,000 divisions of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for 2-year-old colt pacers were also featured on the Wednesday card.

In the first division Artist’s View, with trainer George “Buzzy” Sholty up, nosed out the pacesetting Jimmy’s Scooter and George Brennan in 1:55.1. It was the first start for the Artsplace colt, a $30,000 yearling purchase who is owned by DM Stables LLC and William Rufenacht.

In the second division Wearable Art and Campbell scored a one-half-length victory over Red Hot Yankee and David Miller in 1:55.4. B Smart and Stephan Bouchard were third.

Wearable Art is an Artiscape colt owned by trainer Andrew Stafford and Arthur Stafford, who won for the second time in as many starts.

The final division went to Outsource and Pierce in 1:53.3 by 2 ¾ lengths over Prime Ideal and Sears. Artzina and Campbell were third. This son of Matt’s Scooter was making his career debut for Teague Inc. and is trained by George Teague Jr.
