Swan For All to stand at Kentuckiana Farms of Indiana

The 3-year-old colt trotter Swan For All, scheduled to start in Saturday’s Matron final at Dover Downs, will stand stud in 2010 at Kentuckiana Farms of Indiana, located at Jeff and Maria King’s Victory Hill Farm in Lagrange. Kentuckiana will serve as syndicate manager and, along with Victory Hill, will manage Swan For All’s breeding career.

A son of Andover Hall out of the Lindy Lane mare Swan Lake, Swan For All was a $300,000 yearling purchase and is a half sister to the $400,000-plus winners Magic Swan and Swan Image as well as the $100,000-plus winner Swanderful.

Trained by Erv Miller over his career, Swan For All has seven wins and two seconds in 10 starts heading into the Matron. He took a 2-year-old mark of 1:54.3 while winning the American National final at Balmoral Park, with his victories also including an International Stallion Stake division at The Red Mile.

After suffering an injury at two, Swan For All has shown his desire and courage to come back to become a top-level stakes contender at three. This year, Swan For All lowered his mark to 1:54.1 while capturing his Matron elim at Dover on Nov. 8. Overall, Swan For All has career earnings approaching $200,000.

“Swan For All is a great individual that showed incredible 2-year-old talent,” said Miller. “As a result of an injury, he was unable to be in top form coming into his 3-year-old season. We have been extremely cautious in bringing him back. He is in excellent form presently and it is just unfortunate that he could not have been ready to race all year. I am confident that he will prove to be an excellent stallion.”

The 2009 service fee for Swan For All will be $3,000, with syndication details available in the near future. (with files from Kentuckiana)
