Driver Paul MacDonell picked up his second big win of the evening at Mohawk Saturday, driving Lantern Kronos to an impressive 1:54.3 victory in the $588,706 ( C ) Elegantimage final. Warrawee June was second for Rick Zeron while John Campbell brought Sarose home third. Warrawee June took the field past the quarter in :28.1, then Trevor Ritchie hustled Prada Hall to the lead before the :57 half. MacDonell then swooped Latern Kronos past Prada Hall at the 1:25.4 three quarters and was unchallenged to the wire.
