With trainer Pat Lachance in the sulky, Syncro's Z Tam led runner-up Voracious Hanover (Jim Morrill Jr.) under the wire by 2 3/4 lengths in a career-best 1:53.1. Favored Dawn Ofa New Day (Ron Pierce) was third.
