West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin signed legislation on Wednesday that will allow the state’s racetracks to pursue casino table games through local ballot issues, and Wheeling Island Racetrack and Gaming Center has already received local approval to put such a measure on a June 9 ballot. The state's racetracks presently are permitted to have slot machines.
