Trainer Jimmy Takter told harnessracing.com Tuesday morning that owners Adam Victor & Son Stable and John Fielding have moved All Speed Hanover into his barn following the 3-year-old colt pacer's seventh-place finish in the last of three $115,500 Oliver Wendell Holmes divisions Saturday at the Meadowlands.
The winner of last year's Breeders Crown 2-Year-Old Colt Pace and runner-up in divisional voting behind Sportswriter, All Speed Hanover had been trained by Noel Daley. After a five-win campaign in seven freshman starts, the son of Cam's Card Shark had a successful return to the races in 2010 with two wins, a second and a fourth in his first four starts.
All Speed Hanover's victories this year included a New Jersey Classic elimination (he finished second by a nose in the $500,000 final behind BG's Folly) June 5 at the Meadowlands and his North America Cup elimination June 19 at Mohawk. Things have since unraveled as the colt has not earned a check in three starts, a string that began with a 10th-place finish in the $1.5 million NA Cup final.
All Speed Hanover then made a break at the start of his Meadowlands Pace elimination and finished sixth, which was followed up by his Holmes effort. His career earnings have stalled at $651,038 for his connections.
"All I can say for now is that I trained him yesterday and he's in my barn," said Takter. "There's nothing more to report."
