Taurus Dream returns to New York

Taurus Dream, a two-time New York Sires Stakes champion, returns to the Empire State in 2008 to stand at Sun E Hill Farm in Champlain.

From his first small crop to race, Taurus Dream is already the sire of Val Taurus 3, 1:53.2s ($361,688), winner of 16 of 18 starts in his two seasons at the races. Donato Hanover is the only horse to defeat Val Taurus.

Taurus Dream also sired such fast trotters as Tough Dream AD 3, 1:57s and the outstanding fillies Nevada Dream 3, 1:57.4s, and Flora Dream 3, 1:58.2s

Taurus Dream ranks sixth among all trotting sires in North America in average earnings  for his 3 year olds in 2007. He ranks ahead of such noted sires as Muscles Yankee, Malabar Man, Conway Hall, and Striking Sahbra.

Taurus Dream is one of only two colts who won the New York Sires Stakes “Night Of Champions” events at Yonkers Raceway as both a 2 and 3 year old. In 10 races on half-mile tracks in New York Sire Stakes in 2001-2002, Taurus Dream won seven times and was third the other three times.

He won a heat in the 2002 Hambletonian and finished fifth (from post nine after setting all the fractions) in the final.
