TCS four strong at Dover

The Classic Series (TCS) came up with four powerful and competitive fields for leg number two at Dover Downs on Monday, Nov. 6. All four classes required one $85,000 division.

The Pacing Classic kicks off the Classic action in race six. Casimir Camotion, winner of the first leg at Woodbine last Saturday, returns for trainer Bruce Saunders and owner M&M Racing. He’ll find Holborn Hanover, second in leg one, among his seven rivals.

Mystical Sunshine looks to string together two straight in the Classic Oaks (race eight) for owners Sid Korn and Alvin Jacobson and trainer Chris Ryder. She was a handy winner at Woodbine over Solveig who also is entered for the Dover leg.

Glowing Report has the hot hand in the Classic Distaff division. She was a front-running winner in the Woodbine leg on a night when that route was a tough assignment. Jerry Silverman trains her for Marvin Rounick.

Last year’s TCS final winner Burning Point returned to form in that race, finishing a closing second. These two have drawn posts one and two respectively in the Distaff, race nine on the program.

The Trotting Classic filled with seven entrants after last week’s disappointment of having been cancelled after only three declarations were received at Woodbine. Roger Hammer and Todd Schadel’s Vivid Photo has found his best form recently, equaling the fastest trotting mile ever at Colonial a few weeks ago and stopping by Vernon Downs to pick up a win over rival Mr. Muscleman last week. He’ll face that foe along with season-long division leader Sand Vic in Dover’s 11th race on Monday.

First post is 4:30 p.m. at Dover for "Classic Monday." (TCS)
