Media mogul and philanthropist Ted Turner took in the races Friday afternoon at The Red Mile, with his day also including a trip in the starting car for one of those races. Turner was in Lexington to spend some time with his daughter and grandchildren, who live in the area.
Turner, a former owner of the Atlanta Braves baseball team, is also known as the founder of the cable news network CNN and the superstation WTBS. He is also well known for his generous contributions to various charities.
