Ten entered in Saturday's $684,000 trotting jewel

Deweycheatumnhowe overcame post 10 to win the Canadian Trotting Classic last month at Mohawk and he'll have to do the same in Saturday's $684,000 Kentucky Futurity at The Red Mile as the 3-year-old colt trotter landed the outside post at the post-position draw held at the famed racetrack Wednesday afternoon.
 
Included among the 10 sophomore colt trotters entered in the Kentucky Futurity are the two $50,000 supplemental entries Define The World and Clerk Magistrate. Also in the field is Crazed, who handed Deweycheatumnhowe his only career defeat, that coming in the Canadian Trotting Classic eliminations. Dewey came right back the following week to overcome post 10 to post the win in the $1 million final.
 
The 10 trotters will contest a purse of $273,600 in the first Futurity heat, with the horse lining up behind the gate for the second $273,600 heat in post position order corresponding to their first-heat finish. If there are two different winners the duo will come back for a winner-take-all race-off worth $136,800.
