Illinois Standardbred breeder Terry Hunt, who operates Cottonwood Farm, is seeking the Republican nomination to the 50th District seat in the Illinois House of Representatives.
Hunt serves on the board of directors of the Illinois Harness Horsemen's Association. Prior to founding Cottonwood Farm, he worked in public accounting.
Hunt's major campaign topic is his position agains the construction of a major parkway which would connect Interstate 88 to Interstate 80. "We certainly need to improve the roads and the infrastructure. But there are better ways to spend that money."
