Tim Tetrick--the 2012 driving champion at Harrah's Philadelphia--wasted no time picking up where he left off, as he notched four driving wins on the Sunday afternoon card--all of them with trotters.
In the third race, Tetrick piloted the Syl King-trained Somolli Crown to a 13-1 upset victory, saving ground throughout and outkicking Powerful Star (Eric Goodell) in a 1:57 effort. He would later team up with trainer Bucky Angle Jr. on two occasions, scoring with Majestic Stone ($3.00, 1:56.1) in race 8 and Iron Will ($7.40, 1:55.4) in race 13. His other victory came in the tenth race, sending the Sam Beegle-conditioned Ride In Style ($5.60) to lead near race's midpoint, prevailing in 1:55.3.
Tetrick could only muster third honors in the day's featured event--an $18,000 conditioned pace--as Machapelo's mild bid was too late to catch the pace-setting Man He Can Skoot ($4.40), a 1:51.2 winner for driver David Miller and trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. (Harrah's Philadelphia)
