Tim Tetrick picked up his sixth of an eight-win night when driving Spicy Sport to victory in the $13,000 feature at Dover Downs on Saturday. The eight wins tied the track’s all-time one-night record, held by Brad Hanners and Luc Ouellette. Tetrick now has won 91 races on only 35 race programs at the meet.

Spicy Sport had to hold off a powerful late-stretch close by CR Shanghai (Jim Morand) to record the 1:54.2 triumph. Indiana Magic (Ross Wolfenden) was the show finisher. The win was also the second for owner Tom Weber and trainer Josh Green.

In a $12,000 Delaware pace, Scooty's Dreamer won for the second-consecutive time, recording a 1:55.3 win with Tetrick in the bike. Rich Ringler owns and trains the 3-year-old Dream Away gelding. Quality Import (Tony Morgan) was the second finisher and Yetty (Kim Vincent) was third. The victory was the sixth in eight races, with two seconds, sent out by the red-hot Ringler.

Ruff Door showed his class in a 1:53.1 triumph in a $30,000 claiming allowance. Morgan took the Ohio-bred owned by Tom Weber right to the lead. On the backstretch Ruff Door had to fight off a determined bid from Franco Sequel N (Hanners) before sustaining the lead, and then pulled away to victory. Magic Force (Jim King) was all-alone in third.

Tetrick steered Fred and Anita Fialkow's King Tutpankhamen to a 1:53.4 victory in an $11,500 pace, and Mike Casalino's Red Man N made it three wins in a row when George Dennis drove the 10-year-old Direct Flight gelding to victory in 1:55. It was the gelding's fifth win in his last six outings.

For the eighth-straight time, Swingingwithashark was claimed. The 5-year-old Cam's Card Shark gelding, driven by Tetrick, won for trainer Arty Foster, and now moves to his new owner, Toby Lynch, after posting a 1:54 victory in a $17,500 claiming pace.

Tetrick's other track record-equaling winners were Virginia Louthan's Wrangler Sam, in 1:52.3 in a $9,000 male pace; Richie Boom Boom, a 13-1 shot winner of a $7,500 Delaware claiming pace, in 1:56.1; Del Richards Jr.'s Skid Mark, in another $7,500 Delaware claimer, in 1:57; and Allan Davis and Andy Fulton's Yankee Symbol, a 1:54.4 winner of a $15,000 Delaware claiming pace, in the 15th race, giving Tetrick a sweep of the last four races on the card.
