March 18, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

For the second straight program, Tim Tetrick, the sport's leading driver in 2007, drove seven winners at Dover Downs on Saturday, March. 17. Jennatron, a 42-1 shot, upset Be Bad Bill in the $14,300 St. Patrick's Day feature while Wishwell Sugarbaby won the top trot.

Cory Callahan steered Jennatron, a 4-year-old Jenna's Beach Boy gelding to a 42-1 upset 1:54.2 victory in the $14,300 Delaware pace feature race. The odds on favorite Be Bad Bill (Ross Wolfenden) had overtaken Jennaration at the three quarters, but Callahan came right back to take the lead and hold it. Be Bad Bill held on for second with Take the lead (Tony Morgan) third.

Wishwell Sugarbaby, with Tim Tetrick driving for Herman and Lynn Drenth, won the $10,700 Delaware trot with a 1:58 career-fastest performance. BJ Brady (Brad Hanners) was second in front of CR Super Seep (Jim Morand). The same owner-trainer-driver combination returned to the winners circle in a $9,500 Delaware pace when the Dave Rearic-trained Shady Mountain GA won in 1:58.

Roger Plante scored a driving double steering John Chance's Mr. Supercharger to victory in 1:53.4 in a $10,500 Male pace. The impeccably bred Jenn'a Beach Boy gelding, whose dam is Stienam, won easily with C'mon C'mon C'mon (Corey Callahan) closing for second. Snickers Hanover (Eddie Davis Jr.) was next.

Tetrick made it lucky seven again after a seven-win night on Thursday. Tetrick drove an 8-1 shot Art's Sake, owned by Dave Krol and Pohl Lander Farms, to a come-from-behnd 1:54.2 victory in the last of 15-races, to win the $20,000 claiming allowance. Master In Motion (Jim Morand) and Mr. Touring (Tony Morgan) were second and third respectively.

Koko In Flight dropped down a notch in price and Tim Tetrick guided the Falcon Seelster gelding to a 1:56 win in a $17,500 male claiming allowance. Rare Return N (Jim Morand) was runner-up. The Fittster (Ross Wolfenden) took third money.

Arty Foster Jr. and Debbie Rende's Just Like Sam was another Tim Tetrick-driven winner. The 10-year-old Nobleland Sam gelding scored his second straight victory registering a 1:55.1 decision in a $15,000 Delaware male claiming allowance. Voo Doo Rainer finished second with Happy Holmes N (Tony Morgan) third.

Southwind Majestic, owned by Only Money, Warren Racing and Teague Inc., dominated a $9,600 Delaware pace as Jim Morand drew off for a 1:55 victory to give the Artsplace sophomore gelding his second consecutive lifetime win in 1:54.1. (Dover Downs)
