The sport's leading driver in 2007, Tim Tetrick won seven races including five in a row, while Mighty Moses and Armbro Corbin both came from behind to win the $27,500 Open/Handicap and $23,000 Jr. Open trots on Wednesday at Dover Downs. Tetrick's seven winners are only topped by an eight-win night earlier in the meet.

In a field reduced to five starters when Self Professed and Litigator were scratched, Jim Morand and Mighty Moses enjoyed a second-over trip behind Racsan Jenny and then overtook the only female in the select field to score a 1:56 victory in the $27,500 Open Handicap trot.

There was plenty of movement in the shot field event. Breeze Hill Will took the early lead from Jake's Nordic before the quarter. Tim Curtin then controled the early fractions with Jake's Nordic until Steve Warrington hustled Racsan Jenny up along the backstretch with Might Moses stalking on the outside. Racsan Jenny took over heading to the far turn and then was unable to fight off Mighty Moses in deep stretch, with the Garland Lobell gelding owned by Bill Dittmar, Steve Iaquinta and Ken and Betsy Wood getting up to win by a long neck. Breeze Hill Will, the slight wagering favorite with Tim Tetrick, was locked in until reaching the passing lane but could close only to third place.

In the sub-feature Tetrick drove Alain Durivage's Armbro Corbin into the lead at the top of the land and moved off for a 1:56 victory in the $23,000 Jr. Open trot. It was the second win in three starts for the Striking Sahbra gelding. Elvis Cole and Corey Callahan cut out the early fractions and held on for second. Go Sassy Go came on for George Dennis to finish third.

Rusty's Biggie, driven by Tetrick for owners Horsemans Financial and Premier Racing stable, took command with a three-wide move at the three quarters and overpowered his rivals to win the $17,500 Winners-Over trot by 10-lengths in 1:55. Put Them On Hold (Toby Lynch) was best of the rest. Love You Most (Eddie Dennis) picked up third money.

Tetrick's string of five straight wins began in the sixth race when Gary and Barbara Iles' homebred Barb L Shop, a 13-1 shot, scored a career fastest 1:53.4 win in a Delaware Mares Claiming Allowance. Spimento (Allan Davis) was second with Gracefully Yours (Tony Morgan) third.

Next, Max Walton's Rendarosa, with Tetrick driving, rolled along the passing lane to move past GE's Gilmour (Tony Morgan) in deep stretch for a 1:55 win in a $12,000 Delaware 4-&-5-Year-Old pace. Shady Sensation (Ross Wolfenden) came on strong for third place.

Nan's Ace, owned by veteran horseman Ken Westerside, won an $8,000 Filly and Mares pace in 1:56.2 for Tetrick's third straight and fourth win on the program. Then Armbro Corbin won the Jr. Open trot for Tetrick's fifth win and fourth in a row.

Tetrick's fifth straight winning drive came behind Jim Scholtzhauer's 10-year-old Tug River Ted scoring a 1:54.4 win in a $10,000 Delaware Male Claiming pace for Tetrick's sixth trip to the winner's circle. (Dover Downs)
