Tim Tetrick drove six winners at Dover Downs Monday night, with one of his scores a 1:51.2 tally behind Sharky Osborne in a $26,000 Open Pace. Tetrick moved closer to the all-time single season dash title with his six-win feat.
Prince Of Luck needed a lifetime best 1:51.1 performance to win the $32,500 Delaware Special Invitational for the third consecutive week, once again using an off-the-pace rally.
Ross Wolfenden, up behind Prince Of Luck, waited while Thin Blue Line and the Eddie Davis, Jr.-driven Immortal Quest N battled head to head for much of the last half. As he has done now for three weeks, Wolfenden moved the Wayne Givens-conditioned Prince Of Luck up on the outside and then three wide turning for home.
Prince Of Luck paced on to his 10th win of the year for owners Bonnie Allen and Brenda Harper.
The number six came up big for Tetrick and Wynnfield Flash in a $21,000 winners-over pace. Tetrick took the Virginia-bred son of Spirited Style to the front and never looked back on the way to a personal best 1:51.4 victory, the sixth of the night for Tetrick and sixth straight for Wynnfield Flash, owned by Larry Baron.
