The Meadows Racetrack & Casino has added two live cards Thursday, July 29, which will extend Adios Week to six consecutive days. It is also adding Saturday, Oct. 16, when the track will again host the Pennsylvania Fair Finals.
With the addition of the July 29 program, Adios Week now will begin Monday, July 26, with Grand Circuit racing each day through Saturday, July 31, when the final of the $750,000 (est.) Delvin Miller Adios will be contested. Post time Monday, Tuesday and Saturday is 12:55 PM, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday cards underway at 6:55 pm.
The fair finals, which The Meadows staged last year to a receptive audience, include championships in all eight divisions for 2- and 3-year-olds, with roughly $200,000 in total purses. First post on Oct. 16 is 12:55 pm.
To accommodate the additions, The Meadows will not conduct live racing on Tuesday, Aug. 31. The Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission has approved the modified schedule. (The Meadows)
