Allamerican Theory, the winner of the 2003 Meadowlands Pace, returned to the Big M to compete Wednesday night after undergoing throat surgery in December, but didn't show signs of his former championship form. Despite being the betting favorite, he finished eighth, pacing in 1:54.4 for driver David Miller. Stock Market Wiz won the race in 1:53.
