The three-time Breeders Crown champion Grades Singing was euthanized Monday after suffering from a lymph tumor.

Grades Singing won 84 out of 148 starts in her career, with victories in the Breeders Crown for older mares in 1986, 1987 and 1989, the Olympic Trot (1987), Finlandia Ajo (1987), Gran Premio Della Lotteria (1988) and Gran Premio delle Nazioni (1987 and 1988). Her earnings exceeded $2.6 million.

As a broodmare, Grades Singing had 11 foals, of which nine have raced. The most prominent offspring is Smashing Victory, an 8-year-old son of Smasher who is still racing and has earned $1.3 million. (HRC)
