With BG’s Folly, Delmarvalous and One More Laugh receiving byes directly into the $300,000 Cane Pace final on Labor Day at Freehold Raceway, just five of the eight sophomore male pacers going postward in a single $100,000 elim this Saturday afternoon will advance. Meanwhile the Lou Babic for freshman pacing colts drew seven entrants.
Included among the field of eight is Woodstock, whose owners paid a $35,000 supplemental fee to enter the first jewel of pacing’s Triple Crown.
Here is the draw for the Cane Pace elim, scheduled as the 7th race Saturday, Aug. 28, at Freehold, with an approximate post time of 2:30 p.m.

Seven 2-year-old pacing colts have dropped in the box for the $108,300 Lou Babic at Freehold Raceway on Saturday, Sept. 4. As a result, no eliminations are needed. The race will be drawn on Wednesday, Sept 1. The seven entrants in alphabetical order, with their trainers are: Arockin Hanover (Erv Miller), Gritty Millie Boy (Jim Campbell), Howard’s Rock (George Teague), Jo Pa’s PE III (Jim Campbell), Joe DeFino (Jimmy Takter), Risk Factor (Joe Holloway) and Rock Camroller ( Thomas Cancelliere) The Babic for 2-year-old fillies, worth $61,800, drew a dozen contenders who will race in two $10,000 eliminations on Saturday, Aug. 28. The first four finishers will advance to the final.
