Three drivers were thrown from their race bikes, but no serious injuries were reported after an accident in the sixth race at the Meadowlands Friday night. The horses involved also were reported to have suffered only minor injuries.

Thrown from thier bikes were Yannick Gingras, Andy Miller and Tim Tetrick. Miller returned to drive in the last three races of the evening. Tetrick drove in the Peter Haughton Memorial, but was replaced by Ron Pierce in the evening's ninth and last race. Gingras took himself off his drive in the ninth race as well.

Only three of the 10 horses in the race finished with Eckstrom and George Brennan winning in 1:51.1.
