Twenty-three 3-year-old filly trotters have been divided into three eliminations this Saturday at the Meadowlands for the $750,000 Hambletonian Oaks scheduled for Aug. 7. Defending divisional champion Poof She's Gone, who has been competing at Mohawk Racetrack, heads to New Jersey having landed post seven in the third elim for driver David Miller and trainer RIchard "Nifty" Norman.
Costa Rica, runner-up in Dan Patch Award voting last year to Poof She's Gone, will start from the outside post eight in the second Oaks elim. Ron Pierce gets the driving assignment from trainer Jimmy Takter. Landing post five in the first Oaks elim is recent Elegantimage winner Ultimate Cameron, who will be driven by Trevor Ritchie for trainer Bob Stewart.
