Tilly Bomb (Ray Paver), Beehomeontime (Jim Dailey) and High Class Broad (Richard Stillings) won divisions of the $76,800 Ohio Breeders Championship 2-year-old filly trot at the Delaware (Ohio) County Fairgrounds Monday afternoon. And, all three juvenile fillies scored impressive open length victories in gate-to-wire fashion.

Tilly Bomb, a Chip Chip Hooray filly owned by Slaugther Racing Stable, Alex Rohrer and Jeremy Nalli, equaled the track record of 1:59.3 set in 2005 by I Like Stephanie. The time was also a national season’s record. Tilly Bomb, trained by Tom Davis, defeated E Pegasus by 4 3/4 lengths with Up Front Janet third.

Behomeontime was on top by eight lengths and coasted home by 3 1/2 lengths in 2:01.2 to defeat Shinin Pearl and Pat Pat Hooray in the second division. The winner, by Big Victory, is owned by James Mullinix and John Willis and trained by Jim Mullinix.

Third-division winner High Class Broad opened up a big lead coming off the final turn to win by 2 1/2 lengths over Belle Lavec and BJ’s The Bomb in 2:01.1. The Pegasus Spur filly is owned by Richard Gillock and Chris Chambers and trained by Jim Arledge Jr.

Ohio Sire Stakes Champion Ima Spur (Martin Wollam) established a stakes and track record of 1:58.3 in winning the first division of the $81,699 Ohio Breeders Championship 2-year-old colt trot.

The Pegasus Spur gelding won for the eighth time this season and increased his earnings to $105,128 for owner Bob Troyer. Lumberjack Lavec finished second by 15 lengths.

Sturdy HRB (Brett Miller), who finished second to Ima Spur in the Ohio Sire Stakes final, won the second OBC division in 1:59.2 by 5 3/4 lengths over Doctor Reece and One Sharp Spur. The winner, a colt by Sturdy Sahbra, is owned by Hans Bachman and Martin Streuli and trained by Wollam. This was Miller’s eighth win of the meeting.

Slick Lavec (Jim Dailey) won the third division in 2:01.3 with a surge through the stretch and finished three lengths in front of Docdor Skip and Smarty Marty Z. The winner, by Master Lavec, is owned by Paul Thiesing. (Delaware)
