October 12, 2012 | Print View

Time To Kill rolled to a length and three-quarters victory in the $30,000 New Jersey Futurity for two-year-old trotters on October 12, 2012 at Freehold Raceway.

The Futurity is restricted to New Jersey-sired horses and is sponsored by the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey.

Time To Kill covered the mile in 2:03.1 with John Campbell in the sulky.

The daughter of Muscles Yankee-Are Your Ready picked up her third win along with four seconds from nine starts.  The Ross Croghan trainee also won the Marion Dancer at Freehold and a division of the Bluegrass at The Red Mile.

Partys On [Chocolatier] was second and it was two and a half lengths to Connie Keeper [Muscles Yankee] in third.

Harold Dancer winner King Muscles [Muscles Yankee] broke stride at the start and finished fourth and last in the non-wagering race.

Time To Kill added $16,500 to her bankroll for a total of $150,000.  She races for Let It Ride Stables and Robert Cooper Stables, both of Boca Raton, FL, and J&T Silva Stables of Long Beach, NY.

Friday’s card at Freehold also includes a $7,000 second leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes-Green Acres for three-year-old trotting colts, carded as the seventh.

Melady’s Monet by Revenue won in 1:59.2 with Cat Manzi driving for trainer Taylor Gower.  The gelding is owned by Luca Balenzano of Pompano Beach, FL.  The Ray Schnittker entry of Muscolo [Muscles Yankee] and Kingapore [Revenue] finished second and third, respectively.
