Tinivizion takes Thompson

Sophomore sensation Tinivizion and driver Don Irvine Jr. handily captured the $16,000 Bill Thompson final Thursday, May 19, with a dominating 1:54 performance at Hoosier Park. The Izatiger filly sprinted home to claim her sixth win in seven seasonal starts by open lengths.



Irvine was able to capitalize on what he described afterward as a "perfect second-over trip" with the Dan Perdue trainee, fanning out three wide at the top of the stretch before pouring on the power in the lane. The pacer has now earned an even $30,000 this season for owners Perdue, Scott Rudnick and Stephen Fowble.



"I didn't think it mattered where I got away. I just wanted to stay out of trouble," Irvine said. "She just explodes in the stretch."



Tinivizion's only blemish this year is a second-place performance in the first leg of Indiana Sire Stakes action.
