Tom’s OK Lady rebounded from an uncharacteristic break last time out and captured the $23,000 Filly and Mare Open Trot on Wednesday at The Meadows. The daughter of Inquirer saved ground until the stretch, where she unleashed a wicked brush for Dave Palone that carried her past a game Go Get Blanche. Tom’s OK Lady prevailed in 1:56 by a half-length over Go Get Blanche. Wizard Springs, who endured a tough first-over trip, was third. Mickey Burke trains Tom’s OK Lady for Sylvia Burke, Bethann Palone, M1 Stable and Weaver Bruscemi. Tom’s OK Lady has won six of 12 starts this year and has amassed $213,712 in career earnings.
