Tony Morgan, Mike Tanner to speak at Michigan banquet

Tony Morgan, North America's leading dash-winning driver in 2008, has accepted Michigan Harness Horsemen's Association president Brett Boyd’s invitation to serve as a keynote speaker on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 24 at the Sheraton Detroit Novi Hotel in Novi, where he will be attending the MHHA Awards Banquet when his father, Ed Morgan Jr., joins  Phil Peavyhouse, Jeff James and Peter Wrenn as 2008 Michigan Harness Racing Hall of Fame inductees.

 

During the afternoon, Morgan will be talking about his experiences with the Illinois Harness Horseman’s Association, his efforts to obtain additional revenue for his horsemen and his knowledge of slot-rich Delaware, Pennsylvania and New York. He will also be suggesting a best strategy for us here in Michigan. 

 

Morgan joins USTA executive vice president Mike Tanner in our line-up of keynote speakers during our afternoon program. Both of these fine speakers will be available for a question-and-answer session following their presentations and we look forward to an interesting and informative session.
