Self Professed, who earned $349,669 last season, and $340,661 earner Jo Pa's Shark each won qualifiers at the Meadowlands Thursday morning. Their times were 1:58 and 1:55.2, respectively.

Self Professed, a 4-year-old son of Self Possessed, wired the field with Tyler Stillings aboard. Last year the gelding put together a record of 17-4-2-1 along with a lifetime mark of 1:54.

Jo Pa's Shark, a gelded son of Cam's Card Shark, enjoyed a two-hole trip in his latest qualifier--his second thus far this year--and popped out to win by a neck with a :27 last quarter. John Campbell drove Jo Pa's Shark, who last year compiled a 6-6-2 slate in 25 starts.
