Defending leading driver Trace Tetrick had a big night at Indiana Downs Friday, October 3, collecting four wins on the 11-race card. Two of the winners, Koby’s Lass and Ima Parkin Oops, were also trained by Tetrick.

Tetrick’s first win of the night came in the third race, as he guided the Jeff Brewer-trained Stone Cold Fever to a 1:54.4 win. The six-year-old gelded son of Rustler Hanover, send off as the favorite, won by four lengths. He is owned by Kentucky resident Janie Cantrell.

The fourth race also went to Tetrick and Full Of Fun filly Whata Fun Summer. Trained by Gary Davis, the three year old was tabbed as the favorite in the $3,500 contest. Owned by Terry Adams of Ohio, the sophomore took command racing to the half for Tetrick and stopped the clock in 1:56.3.

Koby’s Lass captured Indiana Downs’ sixth race with a 1:55.3 effort. Tetrick conditions and drives the seven-year-old Boone Pickens mare, owned by his parents, Tom and Mary Tetrick. Koby’s Lass was selected the bettors’ choice in the $3,250 event.

Tetrick’s fourth win of the evening came in the penultimate race on the card when he steered Ima Parkin Oops to a 1:55.1 triumph. He not only trains and drives the Park Place four year old, but Tetrick also owns the mare, bred by the University of Illinois. Unlike his three previous wins, Ima Parkin Oops did not go off as the favorite. The mare went off at 8-1 and paid $17.80 to win.

Currently battling Mark O’Mara for leading driver honors at the Shelbyville track, Tetrick also collected two second-place finishes and registered a third-place finish in other contests on the card.
