Track mark at Meadows

Durgin Hanover, a 4-year-old gelded son of Lindy Lane who had an encounter with a deer just one week earlier, set a track record of 1:55.2 at The Meadows Tuesday night, holding off the late rush of Rose Time.



Durgin Hanover, who has the distinction of being placed from third to out of the money in last year's $1 million Canadian Trotting Classic, was spending time in his stall at The Meadows when a small deer got into the barn and decided to take refuge in the horse's stall. Since the horse had all of the appropriate shots such as for rabies, there was no concern about his health.
