For the second consecutive week, Tracys Song got the better of her more celebrated stablemate Jans Luck, using a determined uncovered move to capture Monday’s $27,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Jans Luck took the field through the first three-quarters in 1:26 over a sloppy, tiring surface. When Tony Hall sent Tracys Song first up from third, she wore down Jans Luck to prevail by a neck in 1:54.3, with Cams Van Go a close-up third. Bettors hammered down the Tracys Song-Jans Luck entry to 1-9.
Ron Burke trains Tracys Song, a 4-year-old daughter of Astreos-Daylon Reality who won for the sixth time in her last seven starts, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Mike Wilder, who recently recorded his 5,000th career victory, drove five winners on the 15-race card while Hall fashioned a triple. (The Meadows)
