Tracys Song, whose previous ventures into The Meadows’ top distaff pace brought minor checks only, showed how sharp she has become Monday when she captured the $27,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred pace for her third straight victory.
Unhurried early, Tracys Song fell back by 7 1/2 lengths before launching a bid for driver Tony Hall that was largely uncovered. She tackled the 1-2 favorite, Natalie, at the top of the stretch and drew off to down that rival by 1 1/2 lengths, in 1:52.4. Au Dragon finished third.
Ron Burke trains Tracys Song, a 4-year-old daughter of Astreos-Daylon Reality who has banked $138,993 this year for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
