Tracys Song, coupled in the wagering with the venerable Jans Luck, showed little respect for her stablemate on Monday at The Meadows, edging past her down the backside and going on to a tight victory in the $27,500 Fillies and Mare Preferred Handicap Pace.
Jans Luck has captured 30 races over the past two years, but Tracys Song boasts strong credentials as well, including a four-race win streak in October and November. On Monday, Tony Hall sent Tracys Song first-over from third to pursue Jans Luck on the lead. The 4-year-old daughter of Astreos-Daylon Reality held-off the late rally of Cams Van Go to prevail by a neck, in 1:53.1, while Jans Luck saved show.
Ron Burke trains Tracys Song, who pushed her career bankroll north of $200,000 for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Eric Ledford and Dick Stillings each drove three winners on the 14-race card. (The Meadows)
