Trainer's horses at 5 tracks

New Zealand-born trainer Mark Harder was busy last weekend as the 44 year old started 10 horses at five different tracks in two countries. Harder started four horses at Woodbine, three at the Meadowlands, and one each at Freehold, Flamboro Downs and Georgian Downs.



Overall Harder's scorecard read 10-1-0-4, with that lone win coming from 2004 Meadowlands Pace winner Holborn Hanover at the Meadowlands Saturday night.



Harder is based at Gaitway Farm in New Jersey while his smaller Canadian contingent is overseen by longtime assistant Rod Boyd at Classy Lane Farm. Harder said he was at Freehold and the Meadowlands to see those horses race and was able to watch the Woodbine and Flamboro contests via simulcast.



"We get around," Harder said with a laugh.
