After his powerful performance in the opening round of the Tie Silk Series last week, all eyes will be on Ricky MacPhee trainee Parlay Thursday night as he seeks to repeat that triumph at Woodbine. Ten sophomore trotting colts will be going postward in the $20,000(C) Tie Silk sequel, but it's Parlay, a son of Kadabra who has just three lifetime starts under his belt, who is getting all the respect. A modest $5,000 investment for MacPhee and partners Harris O’Brien of Fort Erie and Robby Wiratmo Wibawa of Mississauga, Parlay was sidelined at three by a knee injury, but now has a clean bill of health and has been making up for lost time with a serious homing instinct for the winner’s circle. With a perfect record and $28,000 accumulated so far, Parlay is listed as the 3-5 morning line favorite in this field. Jack Moiseyev will be piloting this possible star-in-the-making when the Tie Silk second leg gets underway on the night of April 16 at Woodbine. (WEG)
