Put Them On Hold could not be denied in a 1:56.1 victory in $23,000 Jr. Open Trot on Wednesday at Dover Downs over a racetrack labeled as "good" as snow grew in intensity as the night wore on.

After spending most of last week's Jr. Open parked outside racing for the front, this time owner-trainer-driver Toby Lynch left quickest of all in a field reduced to eight when Rose Run Flash, winner of last week's feature, was scratched. Put Them On Hold cut out all the fractions and held off a valiant charge from Go Nano Go, from the three-quarter pole to finish line with a head separating the pair. A 33-1 shot, Sugar Valley Alley with Carlo Poliseno, finished third. The win was the fourth of the season for the altered son of Call Toll Free, now a winner of $82,315 this year.

White Hollow Bob and George Dennis teamed for a 1:56.1 victory in the secondary feature $15,500 conditioned trot. Clayton Delaney (Mike Cole) finished a game second with Kennywood (Roger Plante) taking the show position.

Owned by PT Stable, the Muscles Yankee gelding is trained by Dylan Davis .It was White Hollow Bob's seventh win of the season with earnings of $54,526 in 2007.

Cole piloted Arty Foster's Camluck gelding Devil's Ivy to a 1:53.3 victory in the $30,000 claiming allowance, the top pace of the day. Motu Hat Trick N (George Dennis) was runner-up. GE's Jackson (Corey Callahan) was third.

Davis had a training triple including Kaiapoi Lil N, a 20-1 shot winner in a $25,000 claiming pace. Plante drove the In The Pocket gelding to victory from post one after a qualifying win only a week ago. Mike Cassino and Davis are the owners. Brookfieldpoketime (Tony Morgan) and Iwannabesedated (Callahan) were second and third, respectively.

Bandito N streaked along the passing lane for Vic Kirby to catch Indian Peaks in the final stride for a 1:56.1 score in an $11,000 3- and 4-year-old male pace. On His Way (Callahan) survived a long distance journey outside to finish third.

In the other $11,000 division, Morand and Forever Good reached the finish line in 1:55.1 for owner George Hobbs. Badlands Sammy (George Dennis) was next. Long Gone Jo (Jim King) was the show finisher.

In addition to Davis' training hat trick, Callahan drove three winners, meet leader Morgan and Dennis had driving doubles. (Dover Downs)
