Undefeated trotter You're Next won his 12th straight start at Pompano Park Monday night, winning in 1:55.2 and tying the track record for most consecutive wins set by Lady Netty N in 1999.

Driven by Wally Hennessey, You're Next left from post seven in the $7,000 Open Trot and was never headed, leading from start to finish and winning by 1 ¾ lengths over Railee Possible (Tom Sells) with On The Sonny Side (Frank Antonacci, Jr.) third.

A 4-year-old gelding by Yankee Paco, You're Next has won nine straight, making him the winningest racehorse in North America this year among any Standardbred, Thoroughbred or Quarter Horse. Deborah Sassen of Coral Springs, Fla. owns You're Next, who is trained by Fred Cohen.

"He passed the next test," said driver Wally Hennessey. "He is getting stronger every week. Tonight he was really cruising."

Dunkster returned to his winning ways in the $9,000 Preferred Handicap Trot, crushing the field with a strong first-over move past the half that saw him shoot by pacesetter Ultimate Sundance (Bruce Ranger) and then pull away from the field to win by 7 1/4 lengths in 1:54.1. Guys Gets Girl (George Napolitano, Jr.) was second with Ultimate Sundance third.

Driven by Tom Sells, it was the fifth win this year for Dunkster, a 7-year-old gelding by Striking Sahbra. Dunkster is trained by Fred Grant for owner Dean Davis of Wooster, Ohio.
