Brigham Dream and Sportyportia were mild upsetters in Monday night's pair of $55,445(C) Ontario Sire Stakes Gold eliminations for 3-year-old trotting fillies at Mohawk Racetrack. It was the first victory in OSS action for both fillies.

Brigham Dream scored a hard-fought 1:55.3 decision in the first split for driver Jean Pierre Dubois. It was a career-best performance for the daughter of Kaisy Dream-Crystas Image who is conditioned by Nicolas Vandenplas. She turned back JM Aggie and Constance Hall.

With the victory, the filly improved her record to five wins in seven starts this season for Reve Avec Moi Dreamwithme of Brigham, Qc., and pushed her earnings over the $70,000 mark.

Sportyportia also took a new lifetime mark in her split for driver Phil Hudon as she stopped the clock in 1:57.4. Trained by Jack Remmerswaal for the Kor Stable of Guelph, Ont., the daughter of Striking Sahbra-Photo From Home followed cover for much of the mile before surging past rivals late for the win. She got the better of Jtlady Strong and Vanilla

Sportyportia, who was unraced at age two, was notching her second win of the campaign from nine trips postward and improved her seasonal bankroll to more than $50,0000.

The $130,000(C) OSS Gold final goes next Monday night at Mohawk. Here is a look at the field in post position order:

1. Matriarch
2. Constance Hall
3. Maple Sugar
4. Carolyn AS
5. Vanilla Rainbow
6. Brigham Dream
7. JM Aggie
8. Caught My Eye
9. Jtlady Strong
10. Sportyportia
