Twin B Tween takes top trot

Twin B Tween closed strongly to win the $12,500 Delaware trot, while Eoos made his local debut a winning one over a "sloppy" track on Thursday at Dover Downs.

Twin B Tween corralled Sir Pete (Jim Morand) after a head-to-head duel through half the stretch before pulling off to a 1:58 triumph. The win was the fourth on the program for red-hot driver Mike Cole. Ellen Moffett and trainer Ron Millman own the Conway Hall gelding. Chocolate Tiara (George Dennis) was the show horse.

In his first start for new owners Ken Wood, Bill Dittman and Steve Iaquinta, Eoos pulled away in deep stretch for a 1:54.4 victory in an $11,000 male pace. The Rambaran 3 year old started from post eight with Roger Plante at the controls of the Erick Ell trainee. Beavercreek Harley (Dennis) took second money while third-place went to Pros Best Dream (Cole).

Plante also drove Jane Ann Bell's Family Love to victory in an $11,300 Delaware filly and mare pace giving the Western Hanover filly a new record of 1:57. Art Sizzles (Eddie Davis Jr.) was second best with TE's Cammie (Valerie Warnick) the third finisher.

Rockem N, owned by Rodney Long and Tim Hundertpfund, returned to the winner's circle for the first time this meet as Ross Wolfenden won his second of the day piloting the Caprock gelding home in 1:54.4 to win a $25,000 claiming allowance. Kilkerran Scot (Cole) was runner-up. Cash Only Please (Tony Morgan) finished third.

Ross Wolfenden won his second on the card steering Art's Son to a 1:55 score in a $20,000 claiming allowance. It was the first start for new owner Arty Foster who claimed the Artsplace gelding a week ago. Diamonds Revenge (Cole) was second in front of CR Shanghai (Morgan).

Cole continued a recent string of driving successes guiding four horses to victories. Wolfenden had a driving triple while Plante and Morgan had two wins each. (Dover Downs)
