Magenta Hall and Seducer Hall shared the fastest times (1:56.3) as 2-year-old filly trotters raced in four $88,750 divisions of the International Stallion Stakes, sponsored by the Status Stables, at The Red Mile Wednesday (Oct. 5) afternoon. Other winners were Possessed Bydreams in 1:57 and Solveig in 1:57.1.

Magenta Hall scored her fifth victory in six starts easily. Taking the lead just past the half, the Conway Hall lass opened up on the field and cruised to her third straight victory with Mike Lachance in the bike. Drinks Like A Fish and John Baggitt Jr. were second with Sizzling Kimberly and David Miller third.

Owned by Jeff Gural's Little E LLC, David Stolz and Arthur Geiger, Magenta Hall is trained by Bob Bencal.

Seducer Hall and Ron Pierce came first-over after a half in :57.4, challenged the pacesetting Odessa Hall at the 1:27.3 third quarter then drew off to a 1:56.3 victory. It was the second triumph of the year in seven starts for the homebred daughter of Garland Lobell owned by Walnut Hall Limited and trained by Brett Pelling.

Possessed Bydreams and David Miller sat a pocket trip behind Third Reef and Don Irvine Jr. after the latter rocketed into the lead from post nine at the start and set fractions of :29.1, :55.1 and 1:28. But in the lane, as Possessed Bydreams pulled up to challenge the leader, Third Reef went on a break and Possessed Bydreams coasted to the 1:57.2 score.

Third Reef was set back to fourth for an extended break, moving Up Front Lisa and John Campbell to second and Sole Mate and Jim Doherty to third.

The winner, a daughter of Self Possessed, won for the second time in 10 starts for owner Nats Andersson and trainer Jonas Czemyson.

Solveig and David Miller nearly went wire to wire in the final division. The daughter of Yankee Glide took the lead just after the opening quarter in :30. She trotted off to a :57.4 half and a 1:28.2 third quarter before coming home for her fifth straight victory in seven starts.

Jimmy Takter trains the filly for his wife, Christina, John Fielding and Anderberg Stable.
