Hall of Fame driver Wally Hennessey visited the Pompano Park winner’s circle twice on the Friday program, bringing his career victory total to 6,992. Hennessey prevailed in the eighth race of the evening with the 5-year-old pacing mare Mary Artman ($9.20) before closing out the night with a winning mile behind the 9-year-old pacing mare Ms Bossy Pants ($4.20) in the finale. With eight more victories, Hennessey will become the 22 nd driver in harness racing history to reach the 7,000-win plateau. (Pompano Park)
